When meeting someone for the first time, it takes less than a second to form an opinion of someone, and that happens mostly by looking at a person’s face. People believe that they can tell whether or not they will like a person in that instant. People also believe that, at one glance, they can tell whether the person is good, bad dishonest, kind, intelligent, and so on. Of course, that is not true. You cannot possibly hope to know all about a person just by looking at him or her, but, very often, you can get a sense of whether you like the person or not and whether you want to get to know the person or not. We frequently we get asked the question – Can Vitiligo on the Face be Treated?
Can Vitiligo on the Face be Treated?
Ok, so what if that person has Vitiligo on the face? Will people be put off at first glance? Will people think that you are ugly, bad or unworthy because you have white spots or patches on your face? The simple answer is that it depends on the person looking at your face. However, no one wants to hope that everyone they meet is understanding and accepting of their condition. No one wants to feel that there is no chance of meeting people because of facial Vitiligo!
Happily, there is a two-pronged approach to tackling that problem. The first is to use the correct treatment and your face, and in nine times out of ten, with a little patience and diligence, you will be able to reduce, if not completely clear, your Vitiligo. Vitiligo Treatment can help you with a range of treatments from pigmentation rejuvenation creams to cover creams and even UVB lamps. There is doubtless a number of products that will be appropriate for your condition. We’ll come back to the Vitiligo Treatment later.
Put your best foot forward
There is a second way to overcome people making negative judgments on first seeing a person – and a two-pronged approach might just make you doubly successful at making a good first impression.
Have you ever heard of the expression: “Put your best foot forward”? That is exactly what you need to do. So, whenever you know you will be meeting people, especially for the first time, prepare yourself. Dress appropriately. Clothes don’t have to be fancy – just neat and clean. Check your personal hygiene – clean skin, hands, hair, nails, etc.
When you meet a person, smile. Relax your facial muscles. When you smile, you look approachable and you can never be considered miserable, grumpy or angry.
Stand tall. Don’t look down in an attempt to hide your face. It looks as if you are rude or sulky. Instead, look straight into the person’s eyes so that he or she will look into your eyes, and not at your face.
Speak in a clear, strong but warm voice. Speak carefully and a little more slowly rather than gabbling or being unclear so that the person focuses on the sound of your voice.
Confidently, introduce yourself by name so that the person remembers you as Jack or Jill, not as “the person with Vitiligo whose name I didn’t catch”.
Be Confident
And lastly, make sure you engage the person’s sense of smell – a pleasant perfume or aftershave will waft delicately over the person and if he or she does not remember your name, it will be your perfume or aftershave that is remembered!
Anyone can make a good first impression, make sure you do! And while you are doing that, work on your Vitiligo. It is best to start treatment as soon as possible. Early treatment is always advised for quick results!
Looking after your face begins with twice daily cleansing. When washing your face, use a gentle cleanser with as few chemicals as possible. Avoid anything harsh or abrasive and clean your face gently with a clean face cloth or wipe. Use warm water that will gently open the pores of the skin; never use hot water on your face as it will burn the delicate skin cells. Dry gently with a towel, patting your face dry. Don’t rub your face roughly but do be sure that your skin is perfectly dry.
Now that your face is beautifully clean, you can apply a cream that will treat the melanocytes of your skin. These are those cells that produce the melanin which is the pigment that gives your skin its colour and tone.
Melanin is produced through a multistage chemical process known as melanogenesis. Melanin is produced by special skin cells that are sensitive to sunlight through a multistage chemical process known as melanogenesis. Melanin protects the body by absorbing ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
Vitiligo occurs when the pigment-producing cells or melanocytes die or stop producing melanin. This means that you need to apply a cream that will treat the melanocytes of your skin. Vitilox® Vitiligo Pigmentation Cream does exactly this. Because your skin needs to absorb the cream, it is best to apply the cream on clean, warm skin so that the open skin cells can absorb the cream quickly and deeply.
Vitiligo and your pigment-producing cells or melanocytes
Vitilox® Pigmentation Cream has been developed for the effective repigmentation of your skin. You only need to apply a small amount. Again, be very gentle as you rub it into your skin. It will act as a moisturiser while rejuvenating your pigment-producing cells. The cream can be used by men and women as well as children.
When using the pigmentation cream, it is a good idea to work on your face from the inside as well. Taking Vitilox® Vitamin B12 promotes a healthy skin by supporting and promoting cell health while helping to reduce the risk of infection. Vitilox® Vitamin B12 and Folic Acid also help to relieve stress and anxiety – and you know how stress and anxiety can make your Vitiligo look worse.
If you have had Vitiligo for a number of years, the Vitilox® T-Cell-V Therapy tablets is an excellent immune booster therapy product.
Finally, you might opt for a concealer while working on your pigmentation. A concealer can help your self-esteem while you work on rejuvenating your pigmentation. You can go out without being self-conscious and worrying that people might be looking at the depigmentation of the skin on your face. Vitilox® Cover Cream works well and, to ensure that the concealer stays put all day, add Vitilox® Setting Powder Kit. The cream and setting powder is a revolutionary new Vitiligo Face and Body Waterproof Camouflage that is able to conceal your white spots and patches effectively.
There you have it! Not only can you put your best foot forward, you can step out confidently with your best face.
Oh, and by the way, the concealer is not only for women – it works well on guys too!
